Truck crash
Commercial truck incidents may involve a driver, carrier, vehicle owner, shipper or another business. Naming those roles helps organize a review; it does not establish that each business is responsible. Record identifying details visible in existing reports or photographs and keep communications from each insurer separate. Ask a lawyer which records may be time-sensitive rather than attempting to access private company systems.
- Carrier and vehicle identifiers shown on available records
- Collision report, witnesses and scene photographs
- Separate insurer letters and treatment or income records
Location to identify: The place of the collision, fall or other event; the report number and issuing organization; and where any lawsuit was filed.
Ask a lawyer: Which people, companies and available vehicle records should be investigated?
